Fall Recipe: Apple Pumpkin Shake

Eating well while you are undergoing therapy can help you feel better, have more energy, tolerate treatment-related side effects better, and recover and heal faster after surgery. Good nutrition after treatment may help decrease the risk of cancer recurrence and improve your overall health. Serves:  2

Per Serving:  ~303 calories, 18g protein

Ingredients:

½ cup canned pumpkin

¾ cup milk

¾ cup apple cider

½ cup 2% yogurt (Greek, if possible)

¼ tsp ground nutmeg

½ tsp cinnamon

 

Cooking Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!  Adjust spices to your taste, ginger can also be added, or you can try using the pre-mixed pumpkin pie spice.
