Congratulations to Providence Swedish Issaquah which was ranked by U.S. News and World Report as a high performing maternity hospital in the magazine's 2022-2023 ratings.

Announced on Dec. 6, the rankings evaluate hospitals on a host of maternity care on a host of key safety and quality measures including fewer complications for newborns and breast/chest feeding rates. Also taken into consideration are services and amenities, including private rooms, birthing classes and immersive hydrotherapy tubs, which some parents choose during labor.

"We are extremely proud of this recognition from U.S. News & World Report, and of our Providence Swedish Issaquah maternity caregivers," says Elizabeth Wako, M.D., chief executive of Swedish Seattle. "They care for patients during some of life's most joyful and most challenging moments. Their work is central to our mission here at Swedish: that every patient receives the care they need when they need it to thrive and live their healthiest life possible."
