Personal grants for people with multiple sclerosis

Personal grants are available from a variety of MS organizations and offer assistance for everything from mobility equipment to financial support. With summertime fast approaching, grants for cooling equipment for those that are heat sensitive are also available. Check out the links below to learn more about these opportunities. 

 

The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (www.msfocus.org)

  • Cooling Program: cooling equipment that includes cooling vests, neckties, wristbands, bandanas, work collars, skull-pads and baseball hats. (Applications are accepted from February 1st through June 1st )

  • Brighter Tomorrow Grant: goods and services (valued at up to $1,000.00 per recipient) that improve quality of life by enhancing safety, self-sufficiency, comfort and well-being and includes appliances, televisions, furniture, hobby supplies, retreats, and home modifications (Applications are accepted from June 1st to September 1st)

 
The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (www.mymsaa.org)

  • Cooling equipment: cooling vests and wraps

  • Durable medical equipment: shower chairs, grab bars, and hand rails, canes, walkers, wheelchairs

 
The National MS Society (www.msnorthwest.org)

  • Wellness and exercise

  • Financial assistance: utility help, counseling, temporary in-home care assistance and durable medical equipment.

  • Financial assistance

  • Durable medical equipment and assistive devices
