Possible traffic delays and limited parking around Swedish campuses on Wednesday July 1

June 30, 2015 Swedish News

SEIU Healthcare 1199NW union has notified Swedish that on Wednesday, July 1, some of its union members will be picketing near Swedish hospital and ambulatory care campuses from 12:00 – 2:00pm PT. This picketing will take place at all campuses including First Hill, Cherry Hill, Ballard, Edmonds, Issaquah, Mill Creek and Redmond.

In addition, the union has scheduled a rally near the Swedish First Hill campus from 3:30 – 6:30pm PT.

This is not a strike, and there will be no disruption in patient care. However, this activity may create some unusual traffic delays around the campuses and may also reduce the amount of parking available near or on Swedish campuses.

In anticipation of these events, we recommend that patients with scheduled appointments leave early to allow for these delays.
Staffing for patient care and scheduled appointments should not be impacted during this time.
