Patients are welcome to park at our campuses for appointments but Providence and Providence Swedish hospitals and clinics, as well as PacMed clinics, are not to be used for event parking.

FIFA World Cup 2026 is coming to Seattle! This global event will bring the world to Seattle, as 750,000 visitors are expected in the area between June 15-July 6 specifically for World Cup matches. This also lines up with several cruise ships in port, Mariners baseball games, and Seattle's busiest tourist season. We're proud to show off the beautiful Puget Sound region to all of our visitors, but there are a few things to keep in mind as we approach these events:

Commuting and Parking

Stretching north and south from Seattle, expect to see heavy match day traffic. Please plan your route accordingly and give yourself plenty of time. Public transportation is encouraged if that’s an option for you. Learn more about Seattle's public transportation at Flip Your Trip

Fan zones throughout the Puget Sound region will create pockets of congestion, and many streets in these areas and around Lumen Field in Seattle will be closed. Find information about the Olympia-Lacey Fan Zone, the Everett Fan Zone, and Seattle Fan Celebration sites.

Please note that in addition to matches, teams will practice at the University of Washington and Seattle University throughout the week. Practice schedules will not be made public, but street parking in these areas may be harder to find for the duration of FIFA World Cup.

Patients are welcome to park at our campuses for their appointments, but please remember that Providence and Providence Swedish hospitals and clinics, as well as PacMed clinics are not to be used for event parking.
