In recognition of Earth Day, Providence and Providence Swedish caregivers partnered with Seattle Sounders FC and Puget Soundkeeper on April 21 for a community cleanup along the Springbrook Trail in Renton.

Caregivers, staff and community partners worked together to remove litter and debris from the trail and surrounding areas, helping protect local waterways and improve public spaces. In total, volunteers collected 942 pounds of trash during the event.
Before the cleanup began, volunteers heard from Puget Soundkeeper about its ongoing work to protect the waters of Puget Sound. The organization shared a brief overview of its efforts, including advocacy, cleanup initiatives and community engagement to keep waterways pollution free and support a healthier ecosystem across the region.
The event reflects a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and the health of the communities served.
