Providence Swedish reaches agreement with Regence/Asuris

March 31, 2025 Swedish Communications

This new agreement ensures there is no disruption in care for Regence/Asuris members and that patients will continue to have in-network access to doctors, clinics and hospitals in the Providence family of organizations.

We are pleased to announce that Providence and Regence BlueShield of Washington have reached an agreement for new commercial and Medicare Advantage contracts in Washington. Regence operates as Asuris Northwest Health in eastern Washington and also administers the Uniform Medical Plan (UMP) for Washington State's PEBB (Public Employees Benefits Board) and SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board) Programs. The agreement applies to Asuris and UMP members as well.

This new agreement ensures there is no disruption in care for Regence/Asuris members and that patients will continue to have in-network access to doctors, clinics and hospitals in the Providence family of organizations, including Providence Swedish and Kadlec.

We are grateful for the collaboration with Regence/Asuris throughout this process and are pleased to reach an agreement that balances continued access to high-quality care with fair and timely reimbursements for services provided. We look forward to working together to provide vital services and exceptional care to our patients and communities.

Patients with Regence/Asuris commercial or MA insurance should disregard any prior communications that state they will be out of network at Providence on April 1 or April 15, 2025, in the event our contracts expire with Regence/Asuris.
