The 2024 season marked the second successful year of collaboration between the Seattle Sounders FC, Providence, and Providence Swedish, delivering impactful achievements across health and community initiatives.
Some highlights include:
- Community engagement. Programs like the “Community Assist of the Match” showcased local impact. Throughout the season, we celebrated 17 local heroes promoting justice, equality, and mental and physical well-being.
- Youth mental health. Partnered with Renton School District to provide virtual therapy for over 15,000 students, implemented Work2BeWell curriculum, hosted wellness programs in six schools, and established three mental health clubs.
- Wellness initiatives. Provided free sports physicals and community resources to over 250+ students and families, and led over 500 participants in the Rave Green Run’s “Stretch Together with Providence Swedish.”
- Sports medicine excellence. Provided comprehensive medical support for Sounders players, including pre-season physicals, vaccinations and ongoing care.
