When drinking becomes a problem for women

More women are binge drinking, and more are becoming addicted to alcohol. A woman’s body metabolizes alcohol differently. That means how much she drinks can have a greater effect on her body than on a man’s. It can be scary to lose control of how much you drink, but starting a conversation with someone you trust can be the first step to getting help. And if you think a friend or loved one as a drinking problem, there are effective ways to express concern.
