MaintainingYourHealthIt is important to take charge of your health. Being proactiveand setting up regular visits and health screenings with your medical care team is both necessary and beneficial. Your health-care team may be able to find a problem early, which will increase the chances for a successful treatment or cure. And, as an active participant in your health, you will be taking the appropriate steps toward a longer, healthier life.

During your next visit with your primary-care provider, ask if you are up to date on all of your vaccinations, screenings and treatments. Do not feel embarrassed or scared to ask questions about your health. Speaking with your provider will give you the knowledge you need to successfully take charge of your health.
