Swedish is pleased to announce Meredith Gould, DNP, MBA, RN, CENP as the new nurse executive for Swedish Cherry Hill and Jean Doerge, MSN, MBA, RN as the new nurse executive for Swedish Edmonds.
Meredith comes to Swedish from Seattle Children’s Hospital where she most recently served as the associate chief of hospital quality and safety, and the senior director of nursing services. Meredith has also worked in nursing leadership roles at the University of Washington Medical Center and Providence Everett Medical Center. Meredith replaces Laureen Driscoll, who is now chief operating officer for Swedish Cherry Hill.
Jean has 30 years of diversified hospital, health system and community clinical experience, and has a proven track record related to improving patient experience and quality of care. She was most recently the vice president of quality and chief nurse executive for Trinity Health System, a 550-bed, three-hospital system in Rock Island, IL. Jean replaces Nancy Wood, who retires later this month.
As nurse executives for Cherry Hill and Edmonds, Meredith and Jean will be responsible for all of the nursing operations at the campus level as well as working across campuses with other nurse executives and chief nursing officers to improve quality patient outcomes, the patient experience and nurse engagement.
